Recently I have been exploring mobile reporting business intelligence solutions for our company. We currently have a huge inventory of products and we are in need of a BI solution that we can utilize as we travel around the country doing business. During my web search, I came across a few different companies that provided access to real time data using mobile reporting. Out of all of the different companies that I searched, one company in particular stood out in terms of their level of useful information on their website, that company was Actuate. They have an entire page dedicated to their mobile reporting solution and also great bits of resources to help make the decision process easier. Another thing I really liked about Actuate is their BIRT community of open source developers. I am an avid developer myself, so being able to become a part of a community of developers sounds like an excellent idea. I have not made any decision yet as to which business intelligence solution we will be choosing but I did download their trial software and I am currently evaluating it.
